StAYouth Music

Music can have a whole host of benefits for young people, including offering an outlet for expression and opportunities to develop confidence.

StAY Voices (for children and young people aged 7-17) is a new choir, meeting weekly during term time in St Andrew's Church, starting on Thursday 19th April from 5-6pm.

No experience necessary, though there will be plenty of opportunities to learn and develop your skills, and musical training and experience including solo work will be available.

It is anticipated that we will work on a range of music of different styles, probably starting with the fantastic pop-cantata (musical) "Jonah-man Jazz" by Michael Hurd.

StAY Band (for young people in Y7-Y13) meets weekly during term time also in St Andrew's Church on Wednesdays, from 6-7pm. It aims to provide opportunities to develop skills and ensemble playing in contemporary music styles (guitar, keyboard, bass, drums, vocals, other solo instruments).
